Know Me...

I am Somnath Banerjee from India. I am hotelier working in premium hotels for last 20 years in India and abroad, I believe “Jo India Nehi Dekha Wo Kuch Nehi Dekha”. I love to travel, I love to look at the night sky, read books, take pictures, climb, and hike and so on. I also enjoy everything of our country (Specially the different topography and different foods), nature (trees, animals, the rain, the sun), people (especially people smiling and laughing), camping, traveling, and much more!

While I saw out of 30 most polluted cities in world, 21 were in India, I afraid, what will be my contribution toward our next generation,  So, I changed my mind and decided first to explore my planet in my cycle, and try to implement the best possible way to reduce pollutions.

 A car is too fast and walking is too slow. Bicycle touring is perfect to see the world. I want to begin my exploration of the universe by peddling a bicycle.

I did a bicycle ride from Kolkata to Dhaka 500 KM on International language Day in 2020, I have got India book of records for that, I have several bike toured in my own country. From Ladakh to Kanyakumari I have ride in my bullet, I did cycle ride from Kargil to Lamayuru monastery in Ladakh, I did trekking like Gomukh, Topoban. Amarnath from Pehelgaon side, Kedarnath Tungnath etc.

I want to see how Thailand has become one of the best tourist destinations of the world, Also I can compare our Indian tourism with them. Also I enjoy meeting, talking, and listening to people. I think every person has their own philosophy. I want to learn from others and I want to see what is going on the earth before traveling elsewhere in the universe. I want also to grow and be a better person. I wish world should be only one country and everyone should treat same.

I work for 11 months and travel for one month, Till now I have plan till 2030, I will be 50 that year.

This trip is step toward my real dream. Because of my love for Indian Tourism, my real dream to have my homestays around India. However, I think traveling around the earth will help me to execute my dream goal..
